Theresas crystal blue eyes lit up and she let out a shriek so high pitched only the furry ears in the room could pick it up. She reach out across the table towards the gift. Her glass of milk spilled over and flooded the hopplyberry biscuits. Her elbow decimated a delicately crafted chocolate sculpture that had once looked like a small vase of flowers, but never would again. Her arm grazed a lilac frosted cake, and left a smear of purple sugar across her arm.
She snatched the box up, and dropped it down in front of her with no regard for the dishes full of pastries and snacks. tearing the lid open, She looked up for half a second to grin at Alopex before taking the biggest chocolate from the box and devouring it whole. And then another.. and another.
Xalquris had closed his eyes for only a moment thinking he might take half a rest, when the blood curling shriek make his ears curl back. His eyes snapped open looking for danger. removing himself from the comfy spot under Theresa chair, he saw what the commotion was all about and let out an annoyed sigh before licking the sickeningly sweet frosting from the girls arm.
A tiny tinkling faded into Alopex hearing. Unnoticed by every other patron in the pristine cafe, a very small fairy floated in front of the wanderers nose. Its wings were made of the smallest gears, all spinning and whirring as the metal pixie flew. She smiled at Alopex to reveal minuscule razor sharp pointed teeth.
"Hi There. We've been watching you. Come to the Bottom. You wont regret it." The fairy ticked, and clinked, and tipped her head politely before zipping away with a loud hum.
